Trooper Jacket
A RE-INTRODUCTION OF THE CLASSIC.
Based closely on the paratrooper jacket used during the French Indo-China Campaign, this coat is an oversied conglomeration of pockets and snaps – every one of them useful. Generous design allowed for freedom of movement as troopers descended from the sky. Epaulettes have working buttons. Inside you’ll find four more pockets for documents, gear and the removeable hood. Closure is snap-flap over brass zipper, with adjustable waist, hips and cuffs with no-leak gussets. The six snaps flanking the bottom of the zipper are vestiges of its paratrooping days; straps from the chute pack would come between the legs to prevent the jacket from ballooning over the face and head. As part of our Legacy collection, this jacket today makes for a great traveling or field companion. 100% bush poplin with brass snaps, horn buttons and YKK brass zip.

100% Authentic Bush Poplin is a 100% cotton, water-resistant, breathable canvas.
Brass Hardware: Zippered, snap-flap closure and all snaps are made of brass.
Outside Pockets: Four big bellows pockets with triple-snap flaps. Two hand warmer pockets behind lower pockets.
Inside Pockets: Two interior security pockets for documents, gear or stowing away hood.
Roomy, Vented Arms: Generously cut arms are big and roomy, with underarm vents and wear patches.
No-Leak Adjustable Gusset Cuffs
Horn & Urea Cuff Buttons: Stronger and more durable than traditional horn buttons, the buttons are molded from ground horn powder and urea-methanol resin to withstand harsh washing on rocks (when on safari) or high-temperature commercial shirt presses back home. Raised button rims protect the thread from abrasion.
Adjustable Waist, Hip and Cuffs: To customize fit
Working Button Epaulettes: To secure rifle strap.

Fit Details: : Many of the Trooper Jacket's performance features, like side panels, help to provide fit comfort. We have built into our Trooper Jacket "body ease" - so if you find you are between two sizes in the sizing chart, we recommend dropping down in size, not up. There is little to NO shrinkage due to garment wash of the fabric as part of the finishing. The wash cold recommendation is for color preservation of the fabric - so don't count on your new jacket shrinking for fit.
Care Instructions: : Fabric is pre-shrunk. To preserve color, machine wash cold with like colors. Do NOT bleach. Tumble dry low, remove promptly, cool iron if needed.
